Song Searching & Radio DJ's posted at Thursday, July 22, 2004
Lately, I've been sitting in Starbucks and this certain song would come on. It reminded me so much of Neil Finn's solo work I was really impressed. In fact, I thought it was Neil for the first few bars until I listened more carefully.

I searched on the Web for who it was; I typed in the chorus ("Find a better way") and asked around and no one knew who the hell it was! Finally they played it last night and I asked this really sweet girl who the hell it was! She comes back and says "It's a Movie!" and hands me a piece of paper. On it was the name of the composer; Shane Nicholson. Finally!

A new friend of mine who lives out in Ellington was telling me a bit about this radio station he dj's at. I told him about what's been going on with the horrible people here, and what I wanted to do as far as deejaying goes, and all. He mentioned to me that there's a chance to be his assistant, and I am so terribly excited! With my sexy voice and eclectic musical tastes, I'm sure we'll make an awesome pair!

I'm still working on getting some tables for my night; I've other bills to pay off at the moment and a plane ticket to CA to buy for Hope's Wedding next month (I've finally been asked to be in someone's Wedding! I am so terribly excited) so you know how priorities go. :)

I'm not going to allow anyone to get in my way as far as me doing what I truly love and adore (this includes a few people who think they're something they're obviously not).

I know what I want and I will get it.

It's sad that the Goth community here is so horrible. No one can dress properly or dance well! And the Mistresses here are even more laughable. They obviously have no idea what a true Domme does and how she should behave. They're giving the Community a bad name as well.

Throw most of them in Death Guild and see how long they last! They'd get laughed right out of the State. At least in Philly they were so friendly and their clubs were all so different. Now if I could only stand the heat & humidity there, I'd move back!
